Artie Yellowhorse, Navajo Jewelry - New Mexico, USA
Large rounded triangle of deep Bue Pietersite/Pietercite. Features Artie's copyrighted sterling silver single twist-wire and double saw-cut setting. Pietercite is amazing. Beautiful...and incredibly vexing to photograph.
One of the most appealing features, is the chatoyancy of the stone, delivering a luminous streak of light from the fibrous structures like the sheen from silk. You have to see it to get it but the closest thing most people have seen is tiger eye stone.
This is a mix of deep blue, interspersed with a fibrous light blue, and gold-brown accents.
I also have another Pietercite cuff that is dominant brown-gold with bead perimeter.
I have a quite a few other pieces of Artie's saw-cut bracelets on hand in other stones.
