Artie Yellowhorse, Navajo Jeweler- New Mexico, USA
The dogwood designs are one of Artie's most popular. I also have earrings, pendants, and another version referred to as double layer or 3D.
Artie has served as a judge at Santa Fe Indian Market and is on the Board of Directors of IACA (Indian Arts and Crafts Association). She and her daughter's Desiree and Lei Lani are a real hoot, they make handing over my money so much fun!
Artie no longer fabricates jewelry herself but employs a staff of fellow Navajo silversmiths that are supervised by Desiree(who also does quite a bit of fabrication work).
