Artie Yellowhorse, Navajo Jewelry - New Mexico, USA
Nedium rounded horizontal triangle of deep Brown-Gold Pietersite/Pietercite. Features Artie's copyrighted sterling silver single twist-wire and double saw-cut setting. Pietersite is amazing. Beautiful...and incredibly vexing to photograph.
One of the most appealing features, is the chatoyancy of the stone, delivering a luminous streak of light from the fibrous structures like the sheen from silk. You have to see it to get it but the closest thing most people have seen is tiger eye stone.
This is a mix of browns, golds, interspersed with a fibrous silver blue-grey accents.
I a blue Pietercite cuff that was dominant blue with sawcut perimeter but it sold quickly.
I have a quite a few other pieces of Artie's Pietersite pendants and earrings in both colors.
Materials: Sterling silver with brown-gold Pietercite
