Artie Yellowhorse, Navajo Jewelry - New Mexico, USA
Beautiful example of mixed Brown-Gold Pietersite/Pietercite. Features Artie's Sterling Silver, Double Twist, large & small.
Beautiful...and incredibly difficult to photograph.
One of the most appealing features, is the chatoyancy of the stone, delivering a luminous streak of light from the fibrous structures like the sheen from silk. You have to see it to get it but the closest thing most people have seen is tiger eye stone.
This is a mix of browns, golds, interspersed with a fibrous silver blue-grey accents.
I have a quite a few other pieces of Artie's Pietersite, some in brown-gold and some in blue, many not posted.
