Angie Reano Owen, Kewa / Santo Domingo Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico, USA
Native American Indian Jewelry
Beautiful mosaic crosses of Blue Turquoise, Jet, Orange & Red Spiny Oyster, and Sterling Silver. Backed by white mother-of-pearl. I'm re-posting as new because I found I had previously posted with no detail information.
Angie is widely credited with reviving the ancient Anasazi jewelry tradition. She has been active since the mid-1960's. She does inexpensive pieces like this and very complicated (and expensive) work as well. Most Kewa earrings are quite light for their size due to the limited use of metal and the lightweight of the materials.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Angie should feel pretty good because their are a hoard of copycats that have sprung up over the years.
Remember to check the dimensions-the photos are extreme close-ups
