Eugene & Georgia Sanchez.  Ke-Wa (Santo Domingo Pueblo) New Mexico

These folks came up with something new and different.  It's not at all uncommon for others to copy new designs but these items are so intricate and work-intensive, I'm not sure anyone else will want to take it on.   The stones are Turquoise, Serpentine, Jet, Pipestone, and Mother of Pearl backed by Jet (sometimes pipestone).

Eugene & Georgia have been part of several programs, including Santa Fe Indian Market which means, at the very least, their work for those events has to meet some very specific standards. As the vast majority of their work is sold under this scrutiny, there is an added layer of trust in regards authenticity of materials.  Also, I have listened to Gene rail against those who are selling things that don't meet standards - he is quite sensitive about it!

They have been kind enough to invite me into their home.  Unfortunately they hit both a bad patch in 2013-2014, health-wise, that made life a bit tough.  As of the most recent update of this, I'm uncertain if they are still actively working.
