Eugene & Georgia Sanchez Kewa (Santo Domingo Pueblo), New Mexico Native American Indian jewelry
Award winning artists (as recently as Santa Fe Indian Market 2014) have created some cutting edge designs of Incredible one-of-a kind multi-inlay
Description: These spectacular rectangular shaped earrings have approximately 92 separate hand-cut and set linear and square Inlays. The stones are Turquoise, Serpentine, Jet, and Pipestone backed by Jet. The inlay is executed with great precision. The earrings are supplied with rubber backing clutches to assure you don't lose them
As they do not use silver backing they are quite lightweight for their size. This is a double-edged sword, the lack of silver makes them more fragile - don't go dropping these on a hard floor!
This is totally unique. I'm not sure anyone else will want to go to the time and effort to try to imitate Eugene and Georgia's work. I have a pendant of theirs using a similar design as these earrings.
Remember to check the dimensions - the photos are extreme close-ups
