Arvella Cheama, Zuni Pueblo, NM
Arvella has a number of signature designs, instantly recognizable as her work. I've had her owl before but it has always been smaller than this. The Owl has turquoise eyes. I have several other of her hallmark works.
She usually works in Picasso Marble. Fabian, Lance, and Wilfred Cheama, all well known carvers in their own right, are her siblings. Hudson Sandy is her nephew.
