Jeanne Gonzales - San Ildefonso Pueblo
I purchase from Jeanne at 2013 Santa Fe Indian Market where she is one of the invited artists. Her pieces are hand coiled and etched. She uses equipment passed down to her from her father, Lorenzo. The shine on her pieces come from painting on mica.
This plate features some of her signature designs including feathers, Avanyu (Tewa water guardian), pot, and inlay of turquoise. This is a great entry level piece into pueblo pottery.
