Artie Yellowhorse, Navajo

Largest version of this style, Arties's domed squares surrounded by a twist wire accent and set in a convex square of sterling silver.  It can be found, on occasion, in other sizes and with stones (search on "domed squares" to see other available items).

The location of the post would indicate these were intended to be worn as squares.  I have found, on the right ears and face, they also can be worn as "diamonds" (see alternate  photos).  

You should buy these with the intent to wear them as squares.  If you are able to wear them in the alternative position, consider it a bonus.   My feeling is, in the 1" size, most people will find they don't work well as diamonds...but the smaller sizes are better.
