Wil Vandever, Navajo Jewelry- Native American Jewelry
Wil's unmistakable work is amazing. His is a very distinct style with wire coil, twist wire, saw cuts, and stamping - all handmade. Top it all off with him being a very nice man.
Wil's tends to use good stones but I do not know the origin of this turquoise. He left this truquoise in a "rougher" state than most of his work, not smoothing out all the natural indents. If you want a totally smooth piece this is not for you.
Wil is a rock star in Japan. Historically, a large portion of Wil's work gets sold to Japan, they have tried very hard to make him go over for a show but he just doesn't seem very interested. The Japanese LOVE Native American jewelry and have some favored artists of which Wil is one.?
He almost exclusively works in cuff bracelets, pendants, and rings.
