Destry Siutza, Zuni Fetish Carver
Another impressive piece from Destry, carved from a huge chunk of MOP. It has multiple areas of focus and terrific detail.
One of the most prominent of the extended Laate family of carvers, Destry is the Brother-in_Law to Derrick Kaamassee. Derrick is related to the late Pernell Laate, Elton Kaamasee, Ruben & Esteban Najera, Max Laate, Lewis Malie, Calvin Weeka, Jerrold Lahaleon, and Alvert Lamy. You can see the influences in his work.
