Vera Halusewa, Zuni, New Mexico, USA
**LAST ONE** Fabricated 2016 - New (Not pre-owned or used)
Born September 1961. Related to Valencia Halusewa (sister?)
The smaller version of Vera's signature snowflake. It is about half the size of the largest version. It is less complicated but beautiful. Handmade, high quality silver and stone work. Can be worn as Pendant or Pin. This is the first post for the specific piece, which I've had on hand since 2016 but hadn't photographed.
I acquired this from a wholesaler, it was the last piece they had on hand from Vera, who they had not seen in sometime. Another trader had told me that she tends to lay off the work when turquoise gets too expensive. I've seen nothing since and do not expect to.
I've marked it as Kingman because that is what most artists had switched to at that point but it may be Sleeping Beauty which historically was Vera's go-to choice.
