Paulette Quam and husband Farlan are noted for their renditions of rattlesnakes.
This snake is made from an attractive piece of mixed Malachite (green) and Azurite (blue). It is a beautiful stone but the powder generated from cutting, grinding, and polishing the Malachite is very toxic so you don't see a lot of examples of it. The artist really needs to know what they are doing.
Some of the photos are almost identical but the lighting varies enough for you to see more detail and/or colors.
