Duane has been one of the top artists on the scene. Important to note, as of 2024, he is winding down and is quasi-retired.
He graduated from Northern Arizona University, College of Creative Arts, Flagstaff. He has been making fine jewelry for 37 years. His work was on display at the Smithsonian Institution Museum of the American Indian. In 2015 he was Artist in Residence at the Denver Art Museum. His work is collected by discerning enthusiasts worldwide.
Duane is very involved with Native affairs. He is very involved with his family, his son, Norman is a word-renowned champion fly fisherman and guide.
