E Wylie - Navajo
This is a very pretty piece of botroyoidal drusy. It is REALLY hard to photograph because it changes color depending upon the angle and the light hitting it.
Botryoidal (bot tree OY dal) defines the globular, grape-like formations that appear within the mineral. The iridescence here are typically achieved by a process called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) that uses only electricity to deposit a thin coating (measured in angstroms) of titanium, silver, gold, cobalt or other high-grade natural metallic. I went through probably a hundred variations to select the two examples upon which I finally settled.
You can find a pendant of botryoidal druzy on my site as well (very different colors though)
