Angie Reano Owen, Kewa / Santo Domingo
Native American Indian Jewelry
Description: Angie is widely credited with reviving the ancient Anasazi jewelry tradition. She has been active since the mid-1960's. She does inexpensive pieces like this and very complicated (and expensive) work as well. Most Kewa earrings are quite light for their size due to the limited use of metal and the lightweight of the materials.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Angie should feel pretty good because their are a hoard of copycats that have sprung up over the years.
